We found paradise, in the laneways of Positano. A gorgeous guest house style hotel with only 6 rooms, and the most beautiful decor I have ever seen. There are mirrors and candles everywhere. Gorgeous little groups of succulents, lots of sunshine and plenty of stairs! We had a change of flights to Croatia, and I had to change our booking a while back, so we new we would have to change rooms. This boutique hotel is so divine, we couldn’t be happier that we got to stay in 3 of the rooms, all amazingly decorated and just stunning.
They have a cute little gate at the bottom of the stairs, their own little shop next door, that I may have been shopping in and the nicest manager and staff I think I have ever met. So helpful with suggestions for dinner, our walk on the cliff tops etc.
The food at breakfast is divine. Fresh light and just perfect.
The hotel has been a family home, and only re opened as a hotel 4 years ago. Three generations of their family have worked here, starting back in the 50’s and then after a death in the family it was just a holiday home for their families for a while . The now 3 younger generation of children, had a vision and installed a mezzanine level into the hotel and along with their clothing shops, have re opened – lucky us! On our last night in Positano, we had a small room, however due to someone leaving early, we were offered a upgrade to the penthouse roof top Mist shower and all. Wow! what a room what view!
it was so special that after our day out, we went to a deli bought some olives and meats and a bottle of wine and sat out on our deck, first enjoying the sun and later enjoying an alfresco dinner, whilst the bells of the church rang out on sunset….. I may never come home.
